Empower your technicians to excel in the field with EXFO’s AXS-120, the first in a new series of mighty OTDRs designed for today’s access and last-mile FTTH needs.
This essential tool is extremely user-friendly and packed with innovative features:
Optical link mapper (OLM)
Automatic analysis of multiple wavelengths with a consolidated icon-based link view:
Synced with events and placed on the same screen below the OTDR trace to better explain and understand events.
Display of end-to-end link length, loss and ORL according to the pass/fail settings.
Automatic parameter settings and clear go/no-go results.
Prompt guidance on what and where the network issues are.
Optimized display
See key results, test parameters, OTDR trace, linear view of events and the OLM—summarized on a single screen. GUI and touchscreen optimized for landscape or portrait viewing, zooming or editing.
Connectivity
Store and share test results via the cloud capabilities of EXFO Exchange, which streamlines workflows, automates reporting and ensures compliance. Connect to phone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for faster .SOR file transfer and for software updates.
Integrated testing essentials
In-line light source and in-line power checker on the same OTDR port, and a visual fault locator (VFL).
Helping you accelerate the learning curve
Compact yet mighty, the AXS-120 simplifies testing for all contractors and field crews, no matter their crew size or level of experience.
Swap-Out connector
This compact OTDR series comes with a patented Swap-Out connector which can easily be changed, as and when needed, without having to send the test unit to a service center. This ensures optimal performance over time, without undue maintenance costs and downtime. The OTDR's optical connector health can be checked with an onboard diagnostic tool to replace the connector only when necessary.
Your calibration date remains valid, even after swapping the connector. No need to calibrate your unit sooner than planned.
Fiber tracing — Tone detection
The AXS can be used as a light source and emit a tone that can be detected by a live fiber detector (LFD), a power meter or by anotherAXS unit to trace a fiber or identify a specific fiber. The AXS-120 can detect 5 different tones: CW, 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz.
